Area M: South Ambulatory

From this point westwards, the older part of the South Ambulatory was originally known as the Bowling Hall Chapel.
The Bollings, original Lords of the Manor of Bollinge, built Bolling Hall. Sir Richard Tempest married Rosamund, the last of the direct Bolling line in
The Tempest shields are displayed here.
NB Bolling was the family name but
Bowling is the usual name for the township.
