Dear friends,
As we step into what we hope will be summer of sunshine, I’ve been reflecting on the threads that hold our community together. Threads woven through worship, relationship, and the generous gift of welcome. Like the looms of old Bradford mills, our lives are beautifully intertwined, forming a rich and colourful tapestry of faith.
Thank you for the unique part you play in that story.
This past month, I’ve been particularly struck by two moments: reading the Quiet Revival report and the visit of Micah Studer from Youth With A Mission. Each in their own way offered a glimpse into the often unnoticed, yet powerful, renewal happening across churches — in the UK and around the world. This is a revival not marked by noise, but by faithfulness and deep relationship.
Here in Bradford, we see it every day: in persistent prayer, in gentle acts of service, in the steady rhythm of Cathedral life. In the awe of visiting schoolchildren, the curiosity of textile pilgrims, and the joy of a community growing ever more intercultural. It is, i believe, Spirit led and quietly transformational.
Weaving lives together, across traditions, languages, and backgrounds is what we do. Whether you join us for Evensong, volunteer your time, or simply sit in stillness, you are part of this quiet revival. As we look ahead, may we remain faithful stewards of the gift of faith and open to the opportunities our supernatural God places before us.
May this summer be a season of deepening connection – with one another, with our city, and with God.
With every blessing,
Andy
