This year’s Monday Fellowship programme began with a fascinating and wide-ranging talk about stained glass by local historian, Derek Barker. His enthusiasm for his subject, along with stunning pictures of some of the most beautiful and historic stained glass in English cathedrals and churches, really lifted the spirits of those attending on a very dark and gloomy Monday afternoon in January.
During 2025, it was wonderful to see such a mix of people at Monday Fellowship, from those who have been part of the Fellowship for many years, more recent members who have become regulars, and those who come to a talk as a one-off or from time to time. Everybody is always made to feel very welcome.
We have another varied and interesting programme this year. The Monday Fellowship meets on the second Monday of the month (or a week later when there is a bank holiday) from 2pm in the de Lacy Centre. The monthly talk is followed by refreshments and social time.
The upcoming topics are as follows:
9th February | Revd Henriette Howarth: A Dutch Priest in Bradford
9th March | Revd Duncan Milwain: Lenten Reflection
13th April | Cal Bailey: “Marriage, Money and Climate Change – Reflections on visiting a Christian Aid project in rural Bangladesh”
