The Feast of Pentecost marks the conclusion of the Great Fifty Days of Eastertide: this season celebrates that Jesus Christ, once the suffering, crucified and dead one, is now risen, ascended and glorified. On Pentecost Sunday, the crowning glory of this season, the Church celebrates that the Holy Spirit has been poured out on all believers, enabling them to be the presence of God in the world, to be the people of his Kingdom.
All are welcome to the Sunday Eucharist, our focal act of worship for the Cathedral. In this service, we gather together in praise and prayer, we listen to the scriptures, and we share bread and wine together as Jesus commanded his disciples to do.
