Bradford Cathedral is fortunate enough to have in its collection a number of beautiful, intricate and historically significant ecclesiastical textiles. Join our expert historian to tour the building and see these stunning textiles in situ- some that are rarely on display- and hear the fascinating stories behind them.
Highlights include:
- Altar frontals and other textiles designed by Morris & Co.
- An altar frontal designed by renowned Bradfordian embroiderer, Louisa Pesel, that was recently showcased on BBC1’s Antiques Roadshow
- Works by Bradfordian artist Ernest Sichel
- Contemporary textiles designed by Polly Meynell
