The Big Bradford Craft and Climate Chat (Knit The Stripes Launch Event)
Join us to Knit the Stripes in Bradford Cathedral!
Craft for Climate are excited to be displaying our 15-metre long exhibit of the warming stripes in Bradford Cathedral over the summer.
We would like to invite everyone who has been part of the project (and new Craft for Climate supporters) to join us for a special launch event on Saturday 5th July (4.30 – 6pm). Along with the chance to see the stripes in this new space, together we will knit and crochet the 2025 scarf to add to the exhibit.
Yarn will be provided and refreshments will be available. Bring your knitting needles or crochet hook to join us as we craft for climate!
The event is free to attend but we welcome a pay as you feel donation on the day to cover ongoing Craft for Climate project costs. If you are bringing your own crochet hook or knitting needles, recommended size 3.75 – 4.5mm.

Launched in 2024, Craft for Climate is a community art project connecting people through craft and climate action. It is a collaboration between Sustainability Sorted and The Little Craft House
Our projects engage communities in positive climate conversations to support optimism and empower action.
Thanks also to Saltaire WI, Shipley Council, West Yorkshire Spinners, The Salt Foundation and The Men’s Shed for their support with the project.
