What is a Cathedral?

A Cathedral is the mother church of the diocese and uniquely in the Church of England, in the diocese of Leeds, Bradford Cathedral is one of three Cathedrals in one diocese. Wakefield Cathedral and Ripon Cathedral are the other two. Each, equally, is the seat of the Bishop.
