We are delighted that our grant application to the Cathedral Sustainability Fund (CSF) has been successful, resulting in a grant of £133,178. Our grant was approved at the Bishoprics and Cathedrals CSF meeting on Wednesday 15th May. Applying to the CSF is a competitive process, so a positive outcome was not guaranteed; that we have been awarded the full amount we applied for, is a fantastic result.
The CSF is a Church of England initiative established in 2017 to provide funding for cathedrals to enhance their financial sustainability and focus on activities that support their ongoing mission. The funding we will receive is for three and half years, and it will enable us to employ a professional safeguarding officer and work towards the Church of England’s National Safeguarding Standards. We will look forward to sharing further news about this in coming weeks.
