Area D: North AmbulatoryThe Cross

These fragments of a Saxon cross marked the site for the first Christian gatherings in this area.

The cross is the symbol of the Christian faith because Jesus died on a cross to save the world from sin.

Man’s biggest problem is a moral or spiritual one.

We all commit sin. This separates us from God & so we need his forgiveness.

If we confess our sin, God forgives us through the death of Jesus, and he gives us eternal life.

This Saxon cross is evidence that Bradford’s first Christians over 1300 years ago found that way.

Bradford Christians still do.
