Our Organist and Director of Music Geoffry Woollatt, successfully completed his fundraising challenge on the 13th March, walking the entire Yorkshire Heritage Way from Ripon Cathedral to Bradford Cathedral. We were delighted to welcome him back at the Cathedral after his 2 day trek of 42 miles walking up hill and down dale, through rain and along muddy tracks, raising an impressive £3,500 + for the Choir. Bradford Cathedral Choir is amazing; it has been at the heart of Cathedral life for centuries and will be there for future generations. Choristers flourish under guidance from professional musicians, creating a unique sound loved by all who hear it. But the upkeep costs of the Cathedral mean the Choir relies on the generosity of donors.
All the funds raised from Mr Woollatt’s walk will go towards supporting Bradford Cathedral Choir and helping to ensure that all choristers can take part in the Choir tour to Scotland in May. The tour is a wonderful opportunity for choristers to sing to new audiences in other Cathedrals and churches, broaden horizons, gain new experiences and make friends.
If you would like to support Geoff’s fundraising walk, it’s not too late to donate; please visit the ‘Challenge Mr Woollatt’ JustGiving page justgiving.com/campaign/challenge-mr-woollatt or use the QR code here. Thank you so much for your support.
