LocationDescription
Area M: South AmbulatorySacred to the memory of The Reverend John Crosse M.A. For thirty two years vicar of this parish: whose character eminently combined the erudition of a scholar, the urbanity of a gentleman, the graces of a Christian; with the diligence, zeal and prudence of a faithful pastor.

His sole aim was to humble the sinner, to exalt the saviour, and to promote holiness. Publicly, and from house to house, he catechised the young, relieved the poor, comforted the afflicted; and made full proof of his ministry. He was universally beloved while living, and died, sincerely lamented, June 17th A.D. 1816 aged 77 years.

This tablet was erected to his memory by his surviving friends A.D.1843.
