Welcome to Bradford Cathedral! My name is Andy Bowerman and I have the joy of serving as Dean of this wonderful building.

Bradford Cathedral is open to everyone – whether for a service, an event or if you come to discover our history and heritage. We wish to serve you in any way we can, whatever your background, faith or spiritual beliefs.

Our personal vision is to serve Christ and transform lives through welcome, worship and encounter and so we hope you find this to be an inspiring place in the heart of a great city. Maybe our website will prompt you to join us in person, whether that’s to discover more about the Bradford stories within our walls; to light a candle and to pray, or to join us for worship.

Perhaps we will see you at one of our many events and exhibitions. Whatever the reason, we’d love to share Bradford Cathedral with you soon.

Bradford Cathedral Supports No Mow May 2024

We are marking ‘No Mow May’ again in 2024 by letting the grass outside of the de Lacy Centre grow during the month, to help free the wildflowers so they can grow wild and provide a feast for pollinators, tackle pollution, and lock away atmospheric carbon below ground.

The work of past artists to be shown on the Big Screen in Centenary Square in Bradford throughout May and June will again showcase the marvellous legacy left behind by artists who were born, or lived, in the Bradford District.

On Saturday 11th May at 10am you can join Mike DeVilliers and Bob Davidson for a walk along part of the Bradford Fair Trade Way to Bradford Cathedral.

The Come and Sing Choral Evensong: Leeds Diocesan Choral Festival takes place on the afternoon of Sunday 12th May 2024, from 1:30pm for singers, and 5pm for those coming to listen.

As Fairtrade’s logo marks its 30th year of use in the UK, Fairtrade Foundation has been celebrating all who have raised awareness for the cause, and in April, Bradford Cathedral was recognised as the Campaigner of the Month.
